THE PROCESS

Asset 4

Red Phase: Discover

ONSITE

This is an onsite discovery visit. Think of this as your diagnostic doctors appointment. We see what the state of your system is, we get a keypad count, we do a load discovery, equipment confirmation. We will start the keypad walkthrough where we can begin discussing designs of your controls, naming your scenes, fonts, colors, etc.

Orange Phase: Design

REMOTE

This is a remote meeting, here we get into the real nitty gritty of the tech. We will work on keypad customization, this means finalizing the desgin choices of material, colors, fonts, icons and make sure that all of your keypads are perfect for your home. Once this is done, we finalize all equipment and order it.

Blue Phase: Program

REMOTE

Now that we have ordered all of our equipment, we will start receiving parts. Here is where we start the programming process. This will be a remote visit where we put together the plans for the system.

Asset 5

Navy Phase: Install

ONSITE

This is the fun part! Once all the parts are delivered, we start INSTALLATION! We will start updating the system, replacing old modules, and keypads. Once these items are installed, we begin commissioning and program uploading. We then begin testing to make sure everything is working properly. Next up is integrating all of the systems, downloading the apps andthe softwares so we can then train you to use your new system!

Green Phase: Complete

REMOTE/ONSITE

At this point the project has reached its completion, so this stage is all about programming revisions, or button replacements (if necessary). Basically, we want to make sure everything is perfect for you!

Frequently asked questions

How much will it cost?

LiteTouch conversion projects vary widely based on the size and configuration of your existing system. The primary factors that influence cost are:

The number of LiteTouch enclosures (panels)

The number and type of keypads

The overall scope of programming, testing, and commissioning required

As a general guideline, most LiteTouch conversion projects fall within a broad range, depending on system size:

Smaller systems (1 enclosure, ~10–15 keypads): typically start in the low $20,000 range

Mid-sized systems (multiple enclosures, ~25–35 keypads): often fall in the $60,000–$80,000 range

Larger systems (whole-home or estate-scale systems with many enclosures and keypads): exceed $100,000

Because every LiteTouch installation is unique, the most accurate way to determine cost is through a brief system review. We gather a few key details about your existing setup and then provide a tailored budget estimate—before any on-site work begins.

Can I just fix my current LiteTouch System?

Sometimes, yes. But most LiteTouch systems are long out of production, making parts scarce and support limited. A Lutron HomeWorks upgrade delivers:
Modern LED performance (no more flicker, ghosting, or lights staying dimly on)
App control on phone/tablet and elegant wall controls
Supported hardware/software with long-term parts availability
Remote service for programming tweaks and diagnostics
High reliability from an industry leader
A chance to refresh keypads (clean 4‑button layouts, updated engraving)

How long will you be in my house?

For most homes: 1–2 days of onsite discovery and labeling, then about 4–5 days for installation, commissioning, and training. We stage work so lights function each evening; remaining fine‑tuning happens remotely.

You’re based in NY & FL—what if I’m elsewhere?

We do these upgrades nationwide and partner with a trusted local electrician (yours or ours). There’s no travel premium—you pay what our local clients pay. After installation, we provide the same remote support and, if ever needed, the local electrician is close by for hands‑on assistance.

What are the biggest challenges with an install?

Bulbs or fixtures: A few may be failed or mismatched; we’ll swap or specify proper LED replacements.
Existing wiring surprises: We resolve them during discovery; some items (like fan controls) may move from the panel to wallbox.
Engraving perfection: We provide proofs and offer post‑install engraving swaps so you can get the labels just right.
